KTM has decided what to name its upcoming 125cc naked street bike: the KTM 125 Duke.
The name 125 Duke was selected after months of speculation for the upcoming entry-level streetbike. KTM even held a contest on Facebook to name the new bike. Hopping onto the popularity of the James Cameron movie perhaps, online voters selected the name “Avatar”, as suggested by Alexey Golkin of Russia. KTM decided not to use Avatar for the production model but Golkin will receive his own 125 Duke with personalized graphics.

Originally unveiled at the 2009 EICMA show in Milan, the 125 Duke was developed by the same team behind its older brother, the 690 Duke. The 125 Duke is powered by a liquid-cooled fuel-injected 125cc engine with a claimed output of 15 hp.

KTM displayed two variants of the 125 Duke at EICMA, named “Race” and “Stunt”, hinting that other variations can be produced from the same platform.

The bike will be called the W800 and feature a largely similar chassis, but feature a disc brake at the rear and power hiked to match Triumph’s own modern-day Bonneville, at around 60bhp.Kawasaki is about to reveal a bigger replacement for the defunct W650 Triumph Bonneville replica, confirming internet speculation.

Kawasaki’s original W650 was popular with customisers, especially in Japan, but it was always hampered by its authentically flat 49bhp parallel twin motor.

If Kawasaki keeps a lid on the price, the W800 should give the reborn Bonneville serious competition – the W650 was widely praised for out-retroing the Hinckley bike until it was discontinued in 2006.

BMW UK announced today two new special editions: the F 800 ST Touring and K 1300 R Dynamic. Both models are now available to order.

The F 800 ST Touring comes with ABS, key-matched, expandable Sport Panniers (15L-25L capacity each side), On-board Computer, heated grips, main center stand, £1658 worth of official BMW options and accessories. It is priced at £8510 - a saving of £458 over standard model.

The K 1300 R Dynamic features: electronic suspension adjustment 2, gear shift assist, sports wheels,on-board computer, heated grips,sport windshield and LED indicators. It is priced at £11,250 - a saving of £835. Both models will be offered in new exterior colors
for 2011: Sapphire Black Metallic, Light Grey, Sapphire Black, Granite Grey Metallic, Acid Green metallic and Black silk gloss.

Ostoure (standing for "Legend" in Persian) has been developed by the Iranian designer Mohammad Reza Shojaie. The super bike utilizes delicate design, in spite of the fact that draw on the roughest class naked-bike. Ostoure is 2WD, which is not the first in this type, but it is one of the most applicable.

The power transmission system consists of two differentials; the steering in front wheel is performing by these joints. The rear suspension system is a regular single spring and in front wheel is the same but in opposite direction. Due to this type of suspension in front wheel the radiator dimension has been minimized and two extra small ones invented in bike’s sides under its body support the central radiator.

The indicators are optional, one is on the bike’s head; and the other is HUD indicator in helmet that has been equipped with speakers and AC system, and connect to the bike by Bluetooth; the commands generate from a module devised on right side of steering handle. Bike steering is like what the pilot experience in the plane.

Suzuki has announced today the 2011 Suzuki Hayabusa specs and features and released the first images of the new version. The 2011 Suzuki Hayabusa is powered by the 1340cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, 4-cylinder, DOHC engine with 16-valves, and Twin Swirl Combustion Chambers (TSCC) mated to a 6-speed constant mesh transmission. It has an electric starter and a electronic ignition (transistorized). The 2011 Suzuki Hayabusa features a 12.5:1 compression ratio lightweight aluminum alloy pistons, chrome-nitride Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coating on the upper compression and oil control rings on each piston. The 2011 Suzuki Hayabusa also features the company's Composite Electrochemical Material (SCEM) cylinder plating that improves heat transfer, durability and ring seal.

The transmission of the 2011 Suzuki Hayabusa features oil spray to the 4th, 5th and 6th gears that reduces wear and mechanical noise. It also features the company’s Clutch Assist System (SCAS).

Engine Features
  • The Hayabusa is equipped with a 1340cc, in-line, DOHC liquid-cooled engine with 16-valves, and Twin Swirl Combustion Chambers (TSCC).
  • Lightweight aluminum alloy pistons with a compression ratio of 12.5:1 are used for maximum performance in all conditions. Hard, smooth chrome-nitride Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coating on the upper compression and oil control rings on each piston reduces friction while improving cylinder sealing.
  • Suzuki Composite Electrochemical Material (SCEM) cylinder plating improves heat transfer, durability and ring seal.
  • Lightweight titanium valves allow the use of light valve springs and high lift while maintaining accurate valve control. Iridium spark plugs are used for high combustion efficiency.
  • The Hayabusa’s engine is fed via Suzuki’s SDTV (Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve) fuel injection system with dual 12-hole, fine-spray injectors per cylinder and ram air intake with large volume airbox.
  • Suzuki Pulsed-secondary AIR-injection (PAIR) system ignites unburned hydrocarbons and reduces carbon monoxide emissions.
  • S-DMS (Suzuki Drive Mode Selector) allows the rider to choose from three different engine settings depending on riding conditions or rider preferences.
  • The Hayabusa comes with a large volume 4-2-1-2 exhaust system with a large capacity catalyzer, dual triangular canisters and closed loop system.
  • A high efficiency curved radiator features dual electric fans controlled by the ECM for increased cooling capacity. The oil cooler has 10 rows cores for increased heat dissipation.
Chassis Features
  • A lightweight and rigid twin-spar aluminum frame minimizes weight while maintaining high torsional strength.
  • The Hayabusa has been outfitted with a fully adjustable inverted front fork featuring DLC (Diamond-Like Coating) coated inner tubes. The front suspension offers minimal friction resistance and provides outstanding suspension performance over a variety of riding conditions.
  • A bridged aluminum alloy swingarm features a cross-sectional shape for increased rigidity, which also helps cope with improved rear tire grip and increased engine output. The Hayabusa’s fully adjustable rear shock absorber has a 43mm piston and 14mm rod diameter.
  • Radial-mount front brake calipers offer maximum braking performance and allows for smaller 310mm front brake rotors resulting in reduced unsprung weight and improved handling. A lightweight single piston rear brake caliper works in conjunction with a 260mm rear brake disc.
  • 3-spoke cast-aluminum-alloy wheels are shod with 120/70ZR17M/C (58W) front and 190/50ZR17M/C (73W) rear radial tires.
  • Vertically stacked twin headlights provide increased light intensity, improved light distribution and match the elegant flow of the Hayabusa styling.
  • The Hayabusa’s instrument cluster features four analog meters for speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge and water temperature with a S-DMS mode indicator, gear position indicator and adjustable engine-rpm indicator.
  • Advanced aerodynamics offering superb wind protection both for normal and completely tucked-in seating positions.
  • The Hayabusa comes with a bright, durable LED taillight, with clear inner lens and red outer lens.
Transmission Features
  • The Hayabusa comes with an optimized 6-speed transmission. Oil spray to the 4th, 5th and 6th gears reduce wear and mechanical noise during highway cruising. Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) serves as back-torque-limiting system for smooth downshifts and also contributes to a light clutch pull.
